District 5 Galala Challenge 9th Edition: Ride Beyond Limits!

The Galala Challenge returns for its 9th edition, bringing together cyclists from across Egypt and beyond for a day of endurance, community, and unforgettable scenery. With its coastal roads, challenging climbs, and vibrant atmosphere, Galala IX is set to be the ultimate test of strength, determination, and spirit.

Course Options

Choose the distance that matches your ambition. All routes start from District 5 towards Sokhna road:

• 50 KM – A rewarding ride for those new to endurance cycling or looking for a shorter challenge.
• 90 KM – A balanced course for intermediate riders seeking to push their limits.
• 150 KM – The flagship route, designed for experienced cyclists ready to take on the toughest test including a 10KM timed race on Galala Climb.

All routes are fully supported with aid stations, medical coverage, and volunteers to ensure safety and support throughout your ride.

Special Feature: The 10K Galala Climb Segment

For 150K riders, get ready for a timed 10K segment on the legendary Galala Climb:

• The segment begins after approximately 110K into the ride.
• Riders must pass through start and finish gates for their segment to be recorded.
• The segment will be timed by the MYLAPS system using chips provided in your kit the day before the event.
• Age group and overall winners will be determined based on the climb segment only.

• 50KM: EGP 800
• 90KM: EGP 900
• 150KM: EGP 1,000
• Regular registration (until Oct. 20th, 2025):
• 50KM: EGP 1,050
• 90KM: EGP 1,150
• 150KM: EGP 1,250

Refund Policy:

– You can refund your full ticket until Sept. 30th, 2025

– You can only refund 50% of your ticket until Oct. 10th, 2025

– You can only refund 25% of your ticket until Oct. 20th, 2025
No refund after Oct. 20th, 2025
